Building complex #15: Friendship Club (Ellinorosson)

As part of Athens_Wave, energy audits and techno-economic studies were conducted for the building located at 70 Achilleos Kyrou Street, Municipality of Athens, housing one of the Municipality’s Friendship Clubs. The building was constructed between 1955 and 1968 and covers a total surface area of 224,78 m².

The preliminary results, pending final alignment with the business plan, showcase the following expected improvements:  

• Energy consumption reduction: 79,70%
• Annual primary energy savings: 79.335,88 kWh (equivalent to €6.075,50 saved per year)
• Reduction in CO₂ emissions: 28.177,92 kg annually
• Operational cost reduction: from €6.623,10 to just €547,60 per year
• Improved heating system: replacement of the old, inefficient heating system that currently runs on heating oil
• Staff training: recommended for optimal use of energy-efficient systems
