Building complex #11: 7th Municipal Community of the Municipality of Athens

As part of Athens_Wave, energy audits and techno-economic studies were conducted for the building located at 59 Panormou Street, Municipality of Athens, housing the 7^th Municipal Community. The building was constructed in 1993 and covers a total surface area of 1.635,46 m². 

The preliminary results, pending final alignment with the business plan, showcase the following expected improvements:  

• Energy consumption reduction: 46,10%
• Annual primary energy savings: 177.269,39 kWh (equivalent to €12.134,90 saved per year)
• Reduction in CO₂ emissions: 52.615,32 kg annually
• Operational cost reduction: from €24.302,30 to just €12.167,40 per year
• Improved heating system: replacement of the old, inefficient heating system that currently runs on heating oil
• Staff training: recommended for optimal use of energy-efficient systems
