Building complex #10: Multifunctional Homeless Center of the Municipality of Athens

As part of Athens_Wave, energy audits and techno-economic studies were conducted for the building located at 1 Acharnon Street, Municipality of Athens, housing the Multifunctional Homeless Center. The building was constructed before 1955 and covers a total surface area of 4.880,66 m².

The preliminary results, pending final alignment with the business plan, showcase the following expected improvements: 

• Energy consumption reduction: 66%
• Annual primary energy savings: 1.679.915,461 kWh (equivalent to €98.428,10 saved per year)
• Reduction in CO₂ emissions: 537.924,47 kg annually
• Operational cost reduction: from €149.738,30 to just €51.310,20 per year
• Staff training: recommended for optimal use of energy-efficient systems
